Professionalism (Pakistanis compared with British People)

We often see people blaming others for something that went wrong. We blame others for our failures. Such an attitude is taking all of us in worst situation and when all of us are in such a state then how could our country Pakistan be in a better situation? There are so many things we require to change and improve in a better way.

When it comes to success and establishment within ones personality and organization there is one thing that is important. Similarly, to impress someone or to attract more customers and to increase sales and make successful business relations with other corporations require the same important thing which we call professionalism. Professionalism is about being responsible, have required and relevant information, act according to your designation and look lively and reliable.

These days the concept of professionalism has become so common that people are now thing about it formally. Few years back this concept was not so common but now people stepping in their careers, job and studies and taking it seriously. This professionalism has significance in every aspect of life, whether it is about oneself, country, career, studies, business, job and what not. It is the Professionalism which makes a person stand different and responsible. Professionalism is the quality, if one has, would reach to the height one has dreamt of. It is not only about dressing professionally and proper body language but it is also about the right attitude, confidence and timely response. It is the quality of product and service one is giving to its client and most of punctuality, being responsible and understanding the importance of time.

Whether it is a private business or a Government job it is ones responsibility to understand the worth of professionalism. There is a different between working class of Pakistan and United Kingdom. People in UK, regardless of their age, gender , education and nationality work professionally which could be seen the moment you step in the office, from bus drivers to police, from GP’s to shop keepers and from school staff to university professors, professionalism could be to heights. Most of all the strongest point of them is punctuality of time and communication skills. They walk properly, they talk properly and they dress according to the job they have be designated. Moreover, they have all the required information they have to provide to the clients. the atmosphere in the lecture halls, in meetings, in workshops and seminars is according to the scenario and occasion. Doctors provide every information what the patients asks about, teachers reply to each and every question and provide guidance and support. Libraries have all the latest editions of books and never gets short of books. Most of all emails are always replied back.

When it comes to Pakistan, it would not be wrong that people do lack in professionalism. Services are quite better but they are not up to the standard. This is important to discussed because when Pakistani students go abroad to international universities and study with students came from Germany, Italy, Greece, Portugal, Spain, India even Sri Lanka it could be clearly seen that Pakistani students are far behind. They are not up to date, they are not capable to give impressive presentations and they do not have the latest information on technology, field of study, latest research etc.

People in UK always have the basic health knowledge and home treatments but Pakistani people do not have. All of these points play primary role when it comes to professionalism. Professionalism is not required for working class but it is mandatory in every step of life. A person must act according to the situation and designation.

At a Pakistani political meeting in London, the starting time was 2:00pm but it starred at 4:00pm, where as for British people 2:00pm means 2:00pm not more nor less. Our biggest problem is that we do not realise the importance of time. People in Pakistan want someone  to help them rather than trying themselves. This is the reason why Pakistan is in such a critical situation now days.

Working class in UK dress professionally and there is not requirements for jewellery, hell shoes, heavy make up and other irrelevant things, all they want is your attitude towards your works, punctuality and to lively and fresh. Looking tidy, fresh and lively are bonus points. People are hired after 1 to 2 formal interviews where as in Pakistan employees look different. Teachers are either looking as house wives, beauty consultants, Islamic extremists or fashion models. Our leaders are not professional as well. Look at David Cameron, Obama and compare them with Rehman Malik, Zardari.

Look at Pakistani actors, movies and TV programs. We have nothing productive and information in our television programs and every other program has same old face belonging to TV, modelling and Cinema. There is no inspiration for students and people interested in other fields. As a result every one has started focusing on make up, cloths, status and have materialistic approach. This is destroying our future generations.

It has become very important for all of us to help others and help our selves as well. This is the time we have to step up and start for better tomorrow. There is always a right moment to start something and this is the right time for making Pakistan better. We all should realise that blaming others is not the solution and we should learn to blame ourselves.

Blaming others in not the solution, learn to blame yourself in order to improve. When we will start blaming ourselves soon we will have a positive change and so would Pakistan have!

Hi! Quick question that’s completely off topic. Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My web site looks weird when viewing from my apple iphone. I’m trying to find a theme or plugin that might be able to fix this problem. If you have any suggestions, please share. Many thanks!
